Nothing wrong with what you got, but some of the statements here seem a tad misleading.So I wasn't sure I wanted the gobi or baja for a number of reasons.
1st off, everyone and there mother has them.
2nd, both are HEAVY and since I use mine as a daily driver, why not find something lighter?
Std Baja rack weighs 65lbs. This is stated as being 50lbs, add the the factory rails + connectors and it is probably more. Also no wind deflector..., so not such an MPG win if you ask me.
Their website shows a max load of 175lbs. Baja and others are up to what the roof can support ~300lbs.
I've also seen the fortrunner rack, which is extremely well made. It is 71lbs installed.
