**RiDE T4R Build** 2011 LE Zombie Crusher

Thanks guys! I appreciate the comments. I really like the way the truck sits. Now it's just a waiting game for the bumper, skids, sliders and rack.

dang.. I love this truck.

question, though..3rd pic in the last set makes it look like the n-fab is set at slightly different distances from the body - front is a little further from the skirt than the rear. was that idea or something went wrong during the install / something was hit?

out of pure curiosity (and completely off topic) are these taken with a CPL? :D

The nFab sits like that because I bent it on a rock out in Hollister a few weeks ago. :) I just took off the nFab's and bent them back so all is well with them.

I don't know what a CPL is but the wife said "no CPL".

ahh.. so the second half's the photog.
CPL allows to hide reflections and darken certain areas without compromising the image quality. (circular polarizer)

I want my truck to look like yours.. :)

Here ya go speaking in "tongues" again........:guitar3:

Thanks guys! I am running the relay that comes with FX-R 35x bi-xenon kit.

Mike, Soon enough. How soon are you looking to do the retrofit?

Quick question. Did you heat mold or trim the inner wheel well liner to accommodate the 295s? or did the adjustment from the Icon UCAs solve it and no trimming/molding was necessary?

Also, what are you looking price wise for your used n-Fabs. Looking forward to pics without the rockers on (I have a black SR5 4WD) so it's something I'm considering doing then I wouldn't need the spacers for the N-Fabs if I liked the way it looked.

Thank in advance.

I heat molded and cut the inner fender liners. I am also chopping my body mounts down this week. My caster is also set at +3. Not yet sure on the price for the nFab's. Maybe $250 for just the steps and hardware.

Today was awesome! This would be my second time wheeling and this time was the first with the new ICON suspension and 18's. Initial impression on the new setup: WORTH IT! I am so happy with the new setup. The truck feels like a completely different truck from when I first went out to Hollister. It was able to take on all the trails I had to skip last time. It also powered over some black diamond trails today with relative ease. I also got to learn how scary it is to use DAC for the first time. DAC and ATRAC are pretty amazing systems once you learn to use them and see how they work. I encourage any one to take your 4R off road. It's a mighty capable vehicle in stock form.

I also picked up a CB setup and used it for the first time today and I think it works perfect for my application. I went with a Midland CB mobile setup with a Midland External antenna. The external antenna has a big magnet which held up fine throughout the trip and even on the freeway.

In total we had a group of 5 trucks from toyota120 make it out to Hollister this morning. It was a smaller group then last time but this trip went much smoother. I did get stuck in the frame twister as the mud was just too deep. Thanks to John for giving me a little pull to get me out of there. I'm still sure you guys knew I would get stuck in that mud. Thanks for setting me up. :)

My goal today was to make it up 5 fingers hill which is a black diamond climb. The last time I went out I knew the truck wasn't ready for a climb like that. The truck killed it today. With some advice from the 120 guys on which line to take the truck made it up and down 5 fingers pretty easily. It's really hard to photograph the grade of this climb but I'm hoping to get some pics of it.

Besides getting stuck in the frame twister, the day went by pretty smoothly. The weather was perfect, the company was awesome and i'm really satisfied with my recent investments to the truck. Now if only I could convince Shrockworks to hurry up and give me my bumper, sliders and skids.

I didn't have my SLR with me so here's a bunch of iphone pics in chronological order. Hopefully I can get some high res pics, once the 120 guys post up. enjoy!

Glad to see you had an awesome time. Can't wait to get mine out there (it's only 2.5 weeks old).

Looks really sharp sans rocker panels. Once you get rails back on you won't be able to notice that they're supposed to be there (at least for me). I'll PM you when I'm ready to purchase the rails if someone doesn't beat me to it (few other things ahead of it).

Here are some way better pics of the truck out in Hollister yesterday. Thanks to Steve, Liqudus of toyota120, for the awesome pics.

These pics do a pretty good job at capturing how steep 5 fingers is.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I'm really ecstatic with the outcome. I'll be sure to add the pics in the off road thread.

Awesome pics. By the way, since limited doesn't have a rear diff lock, did you feel any difficulty on these trails because of the lack of a rear diff lock?

I would NEVER set anybody up to get stuck I thought your 5th gen could handle it that is why I encouraged you to do it, I just don't understand why the ATRC did not kick in and pull you over the raise... very odd

You are welcome for the tug but it should have not been needed.

youkefei- I did not feel the truck struggle at all out there. The Atrac does a pretty good job at getting you through some of the slippery terrain.

Unionjack- Hey John, That was my fault. I thought I had ATRAC engaged when I went into the frame twister and I didn't. That's just me still learning how to use the truck. By the time I realized it wasn't on I was just too deep into the mud. My fail. :)
