^It's not optimal but I rarely use the radio and when I do my signal is fine. I live in a very populated city where FM signals are pretty strong. My plan is to use it as a CB and a FM antenna. I just haven't gotten around to buying the splitter/receiver box to make that happen. A few of the FJ guys have gotten it to work pretty well.

Hmm...in order of priority an FM receiver for me falls about 3rd behind XM and iPod for music selection. Do you have a parts listing? I'd rock the CB antenna in that location.

That's a very interesting idea. If Firestick can be simply screwed in instead of stock antenna I guess coax cable and ground is fine for CB too? I guess for receiving splitter should work fine and probably Radio nad CB can work at the same time. Don't know for sure though. But how about CB transmisison, can it fry stock radio ?

I got some great news from Shrockworks today. My front bumper and full skids should be shipping out to me next week. WOOO!

Would anyone be interested in my wheels? I'm thinking about selling them as I have some new wheels on the way. Wheels and tires only have about 2k miles on them. I mounted these on the truck last month on March 5th. Two of the wheels have some offroading damage on them but the other 2 are perfect. Tires are in great condition. Here are the specs:

XD Addict 18x9" -12 offset all black 6x5.5 bolt pattern
Goodyear Duratrac 295/65-18 (33")

Thanks, I found this thread, that splitter seems to be really good. Looks like it can be used for CB and FM/AM radio at the same time. It needs to be in accessible place though, I think maybe glove compartment will do.

Did you use Nestor kit to mount Firestick ?

And if you get that splitter installed please make good write-up how did you do it. I'm not so good in modifying cars I think I'm going to try it some day.

Yes it's the Nestor setup. I'm pretty happy with the kit. Now I just gotta get the splitter and get it all wired up.

If you're talking about the wheels then $1900obo. I also have them posted with more info in the classifieds thread.

If talking about the Nestor antenna. I think it was a little under $70 shipped.

You got your CB going through that Nestor antennae? Link to research it? Think I am going to get a firestik on the front bumper for mine and the HAM antennae will go on the lift gate.

Mike- I'm going with 17" Method Racing Double Standards in black. They should be here next week. Still not sure if i'm gonna mount them or keep these Addicts.

Benson- I agree with you to an extent. I really liked the street look with the 20's but I take the truck off road pretty often so I needed more tire and bite which meant sizing down.

It's funny how the truck looks lowered when I had the 20's on with no lift. Completely different truck and look.

Are you switching them our for looks? Or for lighter rims?

^Yea I like the current look to but I also like the look of the new Method's. I'm still not entirely sold on them but will make my decision once they come in. If it doesn't work out, I will just sell them. I like the beadlock look of the Method's. I do wish they came in 18's.

I think the methods are going to look great. I ended up with Konigs because i couldnt find the methods in stock at the time.

Things have been quite hectic for me so I haven't been able to get on here much. Just some random updates.

I got the Method Double Standards in black and they look awesome in person. I just don't have the time to get them mounted up and really don't want to dish out another grand or so for tires. I may have to sell these wheels. I've got 5 of them. 17x8.5". I will get some pics up shortly.

Biggest update is my Shrockworks bumper and full skids will be here on Tuesday! This is going to pretty much complete the look of the truck. I can't even describe how excited I am to finally get this bumper on.

I also installed some Trail tail lights. I really like the look of them on black 4R's.

If you sell those rims(dbl standard) or put them on your rig check the clearance to the front brake rotors. Just had an issue with rotor to rim clearance.
