Just a couple of updates...

I hooked up with Josh over at RCI Offroad to get some control arm skids and a front engine skid in aluminum. Very very happy with RCI's product, customer service and attention to detail. The packaging the items came in were very professional and safe. I've received some skids from another company in the past and they arrived as-is with a shipping label stuck on the actual skid. No box or anything. RCI definitely knows what they are doing.

I am still waiting on some stock front skid brackets (i took mine off when i had the other skids and misplaced those brackets) so i can install the RCI engine skid but for now here's how the truck sits with the RCI Offroad aluminum control arm skids in place. Thanks again RCI!

Yes i do have a sunroof. No it does not bother me that it covers my sunroof. It's not like im trying to climb out of it for any reason or stand up inside my truck. If anything, I like the shade it gives me while the sunroof is open.

No worries. Get a 2x4 or anything to lift up one side of the rail and step on it gently until it bends to the shape you want. Once you have it in your hands it will make more sense.

Any issues with your gobi ladder and the k9 rack? Just ordered the rack last night, should be here next week! Trying to decide on the ladder cause I love the look of it and it may help with the RTT.

The Gobi ladder does interfere with the rack. I can open up the hatch high enough to not hit my head so I haven't needed to address it. I will eventually figure out how to take care of this.

Picked up a Rigid E2 28" Combo/Hyperspot to replace my 20" cheap chinese LED bar up front. Stoked about the 14,720 glorius raw lumens that will light up an entire mile. Very very happy right now.

RiDE it looks like you are not running the wind fairing, do you find less wind resistance and rack vibration with it off at highway speeds? Wondering if I should take mine off

Where did you get your jerry cans and how did you mount them to the k9 rack?

Also I know you've done a lot of suspension work. I plan on lifting mine eventually. What would you recommend as an easy mod to add to it? I've never really done any suspension work so wondering if there is anything that's not to difficult to do but would benefit the handling

[MENTION=136795]Irishcav17[/MENTION] - Those are the Rotopax fuel and water packs. Each one holds 2 gallons. I have a total of 3 fuel and 1 h2o for 6 gallons fuel and 2 gallons h2o. I am using their dual mount with their extension brackets to hold all 4 cells to the roof stacked. I also have the keyed locks for security purposes. (Only 2 packs are pictured)

There's plenty of susension lift info on the forum. Just remember you get what you pay for when it comes to most things related to offroad parts.

I am very happy with the switch from the Gobi to the K9. It fits my needs much better. You can't go wrong with either rack though.
