Of course this has to happen when we're going away for the summer. Pops starts playing with the rear passenger window, which of course never gets used, and the window won't go back up. Uuuuugh. Called and ordered a new regulator($105) and new window runner(rubber seal , $100) which should seal things up tight again.
Pulled the door panel off , tested the switch, sure enough , the regulator was cooked. Toyota makes nice door panels, actually has metal back there. I'll take pics and post them when I get back to tackle this task.
