Im sorry to all about sounding like a newb to these bulbs, but as you can see Im trying to learn all I can about them
Im just trying to get a better feel about them ..

so is the neo 4 bigger than a 3 ? or is it the opposite ?

if i have a better idea, then I can order for the whole cluster. and replace them all from superbright led.com

The higher numbers are bigger. The 4s fit the display. As you saw in an earlier thread, the 3s may fit to replace some of the other bulbs with modification to the bulbs and or the housing. The 5s are too big for anything in this area.

for someone that machanically inclined ....

mine went out a while back and it bothers the hell out of me... makes me think Im driving a piece of shit ....

and if they make a plug and play led bulb to replace the lights whie i have it apart ...

Although I've since found this information the huge LED swap thread, I thought I would repost it here since it actually might be found.

The NEO4s fit into the climate display but do not work properly. I noted earlier that my amber Neo4s were dim so I ordered white thinking it was a filter problem. The white do not work at all (regardless of polarity). Everything lit up nicely on the bench. So I dug out the meter to figure out what is going on. Turns out the for the climate control, the display only puts out 6vdc (all of the rest of the dash runs on 12vdc).

The white LEDs take at least 9vdc to even glow. Work fine at 12vdc. The amber light up dimly at 6vdc. I took apart the white NEO4 and it uses a 460 ohm resister. I removed that resistor and tried a few different values of resistors to see if I could get it to light up at 6vdc. The smallest I had was 10 ohms and it still doesn't light up.

I'll probably modify the amber ones with a different resistor to work at the lower voltage. You could also tap into the 12vdc from one of the other lights if you wanted to use these.

Does anyone have any extra neo 3 white leds laying around? Superbrightleds doesn't sell them anymore. I'll pay for the leds and shipping. Thanks!

I got mine right from the dealer and takes 5 minutes and a philips screw driver. Theres a diy on you tube as well.
