Right turn scrape sound and beeping

When I make a hard right turn onto a side street, with a dip in the road, I hear a scrape sound from the driver side wheel area and beeping noise from the dash. There are no flashing lights and otherwise everything runs fine.

I've noticed it a few times in the last few weeks, and just had my 4R inspected on Friday.

Any ideas or things to look at?

Look for a scrape or abrasion mark in your wheel well.

The beeping noise is just the stability control activating (freaking out), cutting power for a split second. You might want to look into doing a zero point calibration since you are lifted, if it happens often enough to annoy you.

Stability control might be activating because the tire slows down from hitting whatever it is hitting, or it could be activating from the sway of the vehicle itself more than likely.

It looks like my axle is leaking where the assembly meets the diff.

Can it be tightened or is that probably a broken seal, and needs to be replaced?

Seal if coming from the Diff. If grease from axle, band got too loose.

Nothing to do with above inquires.

It's leaking oil, not grease. Can I just order a new seal, or the entire assembly?

I'll order Cardone replacement from RockAuto - I don't wheel enough to pay $320 for OEM

Grab a new seal only, specific side as there different sizes. Should replace when changing axles.

Watch how deep you put it in, been known to leak if too far in.
Should be flush with Diff housing.

I just read up on it and did it, post stated the depth issue.

Pull the axle, little fluid will leak out. Seal is at the lip inside, you can see it, wedge it out and tap the new one in. Just look at the edge of the old one to determine the set in depth of the new one.

Finally took a pic, driver side has/had leak compared to dry passenger side. $16 for the seal at my local dealer. Just trying to figure out if I have time to do the work or let my mechanic do it.

Talked to a local mechanic, they said the bearing probably also needs to be replaced. Cost $220

Am I missing something? Does that sound accurate?

i had the same problem but for me it was making left turns. It turns out that it was my upper control arm, it seemed fine but there was a small rip, i didnt pay no mind to it but luckily i changed my upper control arms with SPC ones. When i took it out, the ball joint on the pass side was toast. it was rusted inside and it was dangling.

There's a bearing inside the front diff after the Oil Seal.

It doesn't look like it's not an issue with my UCA, and I didn't see any rubbing marks from the tire.

I'm familiar myself with the beep and hard turns, usually you have a scrape with it. I'm not seeing a scuffmark on the UCA like I have. I would inspect inner wheel well all around for scuff marks. I also get them when doing turns, if I hit RR tracks, some times painted lines on the roads, will cause the same effects.
Don't believe wheel bearings or Diff needle bearings will cause this, haven't heard of it. Nor Diff bearings creating the leak you have.

Needle bearings usually create by what I have read from others, a vibration while driving, similar to wheel bearings when turning.

Your tires don't look too large, and not sure of your lift. For shits and giggles, check your passenger frame for a scuff mark, rear side of wheel where it turns into the frame making a right turn.
