Rigid Dually Aux Lights

Just wanted to share some pics of my Rigid Dually's. After searching a while for low profile lights I could mount flush in the bumper grille I stumbled upon these:
Dually

They fit very well in the lower bumper grille. Just have to cutout the outermost squares.

This shot is with them aimed down at the ground. Cradle mounts are included and angle can be adjusted with an allen key.

The lights are mounted to the rebar using self tapping screws.

Wiring is a breeze, no relay needed. Power requirements are low since they are LED.

There is a Dually D2 model with double the light output (and double the price)

If aimed up, will these reach further than high beams? Looks to be a pretty narrow beam, I'd expect range to be pretty good if angled up. I've been looking at these, really wanted to do something like this.

Those are sexy!

BTW, I hate threads like this... Now I gotta go spend $$

Yes they do, I'll try to grab pics at night with some different angles. These are the spot pattern, they provide a narrow beam. The flood version would give a wider beam and less throw.

It also depends how they're mounted.
I have them pretty straight on and aimed down for street driving as I don't want to blind anyone.
If aimed towards the sides a bit you get even more coverage.

If you can afford it grab the D2's , the light goes forever =D

Some daytime pics and the switch mounted in the blank factory slot.

This is exactly what I was thinking!! awesome! I just ordered some Dually floods last night... I hope they're what I'm looking for... couldn't decide between the spots and the floods... oh well...

Those look really good where you mounted them and the light output, especially if you need a more light in a concentrated area.
Thanks for sharing!

X2 except I haven't ordered them yet, partially because I am unsure on whether to go with the flood or spot pattern. A comparison of each against a wall would be awesome and super helpful (if you guys are up for it) in making a decision.
Thanks in advance.
BTW lightfreak, looks great. That's exactly where I envisioned putting them as well. I really wanted to do two ten inch bars, but that would cost way too much. Anyways, nice job!!

Bump for wall shot! I thing the flood would be nice to look at, but not nice to see in front of you. Spot would prob more represent a projector headlight.

How did you get a drill in there to drill the holes in the metal bar behind the grille? Seems like you'd have to use a 90 deg angle drill? I don't have to want to buy one of those though....
How'd you drill those holes??

Hey guys sorry haven't been on much, xmas season is killer around here.

Anyway yes the bumper was removed, this way you have all the room you need to mount the lights, and also easier to cut out the squares with the bumper on a work table.

I thought about shifting the license plate and running a 30" ! LOL but that would be alot more than I wanted to spend.

For spot vs. flood comparisons check these out:

I'll see about getting some more pics.

LOL @ bergs
