Nope, I had the same problem with the 4 bolts on the side. the 6 in front were fine.. I was able to get the bumper on still but a couple of bolts are bent

Quick question. I havent been around lately and apparently having a hard time keeping up with your thread, anyway I see that you are putting your truck back to stock. I haven't done much to my truck yet but should I just cut my losses now and not do anything or sell it?

That's what I figured. I kind of regret selling my stock bumper since they are harder to find, but I doubt I will ever go back to stock, so o well. Let's hope it's a quick sale!

First up was the fix to the most annoying thing about 4runners, the VSC/ TRAC system, and the glorious AndyMod 2.0!
The VSC is what prevents sideways vehicle movement (ie. donuts, drifting). And the TRAC is a remedy for an open differential (when one wheel has no traction/in the air and gets all the power). The TRAC, which stops the spinning wheel, also hinders donuts). The TRAC system is basically a wannabe limited slip differential.
VSC: Vehicle stability control
TRAC: Traction control
Note: Without the andymod; When you are in 4x4 with the transfer case locked, the VSC is automatically disabled, and the TRAC is still active. This is the ideal setup when offroading.
Andymod is just for fun.
For this mod, I ordered an OEM fog light switch ($8.00)

Next, I disabled the 2nd most annoying thing about 4runners, the DRL’s (daytime running lamps)
On the 2002’s, it is as simple as cutting the pin 12 black/ yellow wire on the DRL module and capping the loose ends. You can also wire in a switch if you want to be able to turn them back on, but I was done with them for good.
It also helps if you are not a complete idiot and forget to plug the DRL module back in, which I found out after a late night return from indoor karting and Ironman 2 with my two best friends..
The headlights, fog lights and high-beams were inoperable, but the parking and hazard lights still worked and we used one of the giant sized maglites sticking out of the sunroof for light!

With the Deckplate and ISR combined, I noticed faster throttle response, deeper engine noise, and minimal power gains.
I picked up this 4" white deck plate from 'Taylor Marine' in Albuquerque for $9.95
You will also need 6 screws and some waterproof sealant.
The ISR is also an inexpensive upgrade. On 2002’s, all you need is a section of exhaust pipe that is 5.65in long and 2.75in outside diameter and about 2ft of vacuum hose. I painted mine with black high temp frame paint.

Plasti-Dip: (Don't need to remove emblems)
Looking back now, I should have gone with Plasti-dip. This way still works out nicely though.
-For removal, use a hair dryer and fishing line, then goo-gone the excess adhesive.
-Sandpaper emblems with 1000 grit sandpaper.
-Use 1-2 coats of primer and 2 coats of paint. Let dry for 2+ hours.
-For re-installation, use 1/2" double sided molding tape from pep boys for $4.99.

Grip Tape Door Sills:
I used a spare roll of 2" industrial grade grip tape.
3M 7635NA Safety-Walk Black Outdoor Tread 2-by-180-Inch Roll - Amazon.com
For each side, I cut out a section that was 2-feet 3" long. I cut 2/3" of that strip and used it on the door jamb. I used the other, bigger, strip of grip tape on the actual door sill
I tried to plasti dip my emblems last night and I did not go heavy enough nor did i have the right platic tool to get the rest of the plasti dip out of the cracks. I figure that im just going to take the emblems off the car so get the remaining plasti dip off. Now my question is how did you get your emblems back on so clean in the right spot and how did you use that tape so none of it is showing once the emblem is put back on?

First thing to talk about is extended bump stops. A while back I found some extended bump stops on a 4runner at the local you pull it yard. But even though they were longer than the stock ones, I still needed longer ones as my shocks were compressed before the bump stops were reached.
The stock Bump stops compared to the ones I found at the junkyard on a 4runner they had.
I found a thread recently that had a way to get even longer bump stops at the junkyard from other vehicles.
