Here is the adapter I have that came with the shocks from toytec lifts:
After having to break off one side and re-check it, we were ready to weld. I know, not professional work, but it is more than strong enough.
Then some paint after it cooled:
All done:
Looks like you used that adapter...:cry2:

Nice work on the shock install man! BTW, just a question, aside from ease of removeability....what are the benefits to running them outside of the frame rail??? More stability?? I know that Ford started doing this a few years back...and sited more stability as being a reason for the change of location on their chasis'.........

It was easier to make a new mount on the outside than it was to remove the old one and make a better one in it's place. Plus the factory mount is still in place.. whatever that's worth, but it may be useful some day.. also looks.

your '02 looks terrific! nicely done.
i'm curious: what Yakima parts did you use to put the crossbars at the doors? i'm thinking to remove the factory rack on my '10 and do the same but have only looked at Thule and they don't make an "official" fit kit for the 2010 4Runner.
also, if you don't mind my asking, where did you manage to find the Konigs?

The Yakima rack consists of
Yakima Q-towers (4)
Yakima Q-62 clips (2 pair)
Yakima 48” crossbars (2)
Yakima 44” wind fairing w/decals
Yakima Buttondown Aero snowboard rack
The only part that is vehicle specific are the Q-clips. You can go to yakima.com and find the q-clips and get a chart of what type clip goes to what vehicle.
