I haven't noticed a big difference as far as handling goes, but I don't try to drive like speed racer either. I was talking to somebody else about this the other day and said I think it would be a lot more noticeable if I were to drive a stock vehicle without all the extra weight of all the extra armor that I put on over the course of two years and what my vehicle has morphed into. But those days are long since gone and I think it's the same effect as a frog being put in water that slowly gets warmer and it doesn't realize it's being cooked. But really who cooks frogs these days anyway?

I am digging it. Thank you for the compliments. I am always a little bit more cautious with my driving after making big changes till I get a feel for how those changes impact driving characteristics. Since lifting, I have become familiar with the tip-over caution alarm that seems to go off on on-ramps to the interstate. Scared the hell out of me the first time I heard it.

I grew up in Florida, but never tried frog legs. Gator tail, but no frog.

Yeah. That VSC seems to annoy me more than anything else. I also think that it acts weird driving on ice. I remember fishtailing as I entered a roadway pretty bad. I wasn't going fast at all, and it felt like it was doing what IT wanted to do. And IT wanted to kill me.

Thanks for the kind words man, and glad you liked it. It has been a journey, that's for sure. LOL. I felt the same way about a great many rigs when I started frequenting this sight. There are too many tempting options and paths for all of us to spend money and time on here.

Wires...

So I decided to try to clean up some electrical wiring that goes from my license plate relocation, attached to the jerry can holder in my rear swing out. Wow that's a mouthful!

I got off work yesterday and was looking at about a potential 6 hours sleep if I went straight to bed before I had to head BACK to work. Do I go to bed?!?! Naaaaaahhh....

I start what should be a rather straightforward project sheathing the wires from my license plate lights along the swingarm and into where they tied in off the tow harness loom.

It's not professional, but neither am I, and it looks a whole lot better than it did. Getting those damned wires into 1/4" tubing sucks. My fingers are a bit chewed up. But I am stubborn, and got it done, adding a 3/4" bit for where the leads are heat-shrunked (wow, is that a word?), together. Sorry, very little sleep.

I finished this project at night witb the aid of a headlamp, and not with the aid of a few mosquitoes. 4X Innovations hoas some great little holes perfect for plastic ties to help secure the wires. I might look to utilise a couple of the fold down table screw mounts to get some sheathing tie downs as plastic zip ties don't work there.

Also all this smoke from the 120+ Canadian wild fires at least makes the sun look very interesting. Here's to our brothers up north hoping to get those fires under control. Stay safe! All the best.

The finished, for now product. I am happy to get this done. I like the look a lot better. And I feel better not having loose wires asking to be frayed, shorting out, and starting a fire.

That thing is going to be bad azz! The busy season at work will crescendo tomorrow. Hopefully shortly after that I'll get some good quality time to go play outside like normal people over summer.

My Scepter jerry can landed.

Test fit my sand colored Scepter jerry can in my jerry can mount. It was super tight, which I should think is a good thing. The lid of the can made it a tight fit. I was getting nervous that the latch would break trying to secure it.

What locks are you all using to secure your jerry cans. Part of me just wants to leave it mounted on the bumper to cut down on battle rattle. But I don't want to get it jacked either. Do you guys just roll around with no can?

It's usually punk kids in my neighborhood. I think they all fear me now and I like it that way. Haha.

I am running a metal jerry can. I put some foam tape down to keep it from rattling and it never has. You shouldn't have that problem with plastic. I also used a mini master lock and key for the latch I'm sure it could be cut easy but I don't keep gas in there so hopefully no one is that desperate.
