Rocky Road Supersliders

Around the end of August I was offroading and smashed up one of my running boards pretty bad, and at that point decided it was time for rock sliders. After a bunch of research regarding quality, and also wait times I went with Rocky Road

I ordered Supersliders for my 2011 SR5 on Sept 1st, they shipped within a week, and I had them by Sept 14th! I had a problem however, they did not fit my vehicle. At this point in time I was unaware of the major differences between models, so I didn't realize that my SR5 was not the same as a US model.

Rocky Road was fantastic in resolving this problem. They responded to me within hours of each email being sent, within a week we had determined that both parties were unaware of the model differences. They took full responsibility for it, and shipped me a new pair (and the old pair back) at considerable expense. I received them yesterday, so it took about 2 months overall, but 1/4 of that was time spent in shipping, and a week of that was down time as we tried to figure out why they didn't fit so even considering I got the wrong parts, my actual wait time was only about 5 weeks!

Anyways, I'm really happy with the product, I had to enlarge a couple holes to make one side sit level, and I also have the same issue with only 5 of 6 bolt holes being threaded but I have ordered some tail nuts, so that problem will be resolved shortly.

Anyways I hope others will considering ordering products from them, as I think we should support companies that give great customer service!

What made them not fit?
I've been condidering them, but am debating removing my rocker panels vs going with this version:

The Canadian SR5 doesn't have the trim below the doors, they come trimmed like a TE, with running boards. I falsely assumed all SR5's were the same.

I like the added ground clearance that is gained by not having the trim there personally, but their product seems like it works equally well on either.

I like mine however I may be going another route shortly and posting mine up for sale. They too messed up on the shipping and sent me a trail set when I needed an SR5 set, they quickly sent me the proper set within a week or two.

New to the forum

I put the same rock sliders on my 2011 4runner before a hunting trip to colorado. They installed easy and worked great. I am very happy with the look, fit and performance.
