Ok well here is an update I ordered these sliders Monday the 15th just got off the phone with Rocky-Road today Friday the 19th and my sliders are done and will be shipped out today! pretty stoked:driving:

While I have been impressed by the performance of my RR Supersliders, I cannot think of a worse company to do business with. They have lots of great products, but don't have a clue as to how to run a business.
Never dealt with Shrockworks, but if they tell you the truth and send you the right stuff they are doing better that RR ever did for me. I had to threaten with a lawsuit to get them get me the stuff I ordered, and even then it took6 months. I'll never point anyone in their direction.

That is surprising! From what I hear people are getting their products ASAP from them, and are very happy. I actually went back and forth with them about the sliders for the SR5 & LE, they responded VERY fast to my e-mails and seemed very interested in what I had to say. I have not placed my order with them yet, but I have not one bit of hesitation doing so. I have dealt with my fair share of 'lazy' companies. I'm sure N-Fab makes a great product but 3 e-mails and 1 phone call and still no response from them, thanks but no thanks. Sorry you had a bad experience, not every company is perfect 100% of the time.

I have to somewhat agree with Mr Leary. While they did give me free sliders and roof rack for letting them prototype on my 4R, they overcharged me $20 (versus the price I was quoted on RR's website) for the roof rack accessory mounts after they said they would give me a deal. I pointed this out to Glen and he said it was due to a flat shipping rate nation-wide. I checked shipping rates to California and Washington and they were still much cheaper than what I was charged. I told this to Glen and he insisted that UPS must have raised their rates due to the slowdown in the economy and that RR's website was not updated with the current rates. I then got a quote from UPS from RR's address to my own and it agreed with what RR had on their website. I decided just to let it go since I was tired of dealing with the run-around and it was only $20. Why would he offer me a deal and then overcharge me? I have no idea, but it seems like a really bad business strategy since I haven't recommended them since. It's a shame because before that happened, I was eager to give them positive rep in the 4R community.
Anyway, I would just recommend keeping an eye on how much your credit card is charged for if you do business with those guys.

While talking with Glen of RRO was tedious via email, my understanding was that he was out of the country and not always near an internet connection, so I let it slide. He honored the discount he offered me (back when he chose Egstyle's 4Runner over mine for fitting tests) even though the order was months later.
He's done right by me at every turn, so I really can't explain the wide variance in customer satisfaction. I'm not denying anyone's experiences either, I just want to put my own out there.

Okay well installed the sliders today passenger side was a breeze. The drivers side however sucked they gave me the 2 aluminum spacers for the fuel lines so they don't rub which was nice but however they don't give you 2 new bolts to bolt them back in place. The factory bolts go on about 2 threads which isn't enough in my opinion so I will be heading to autozone in the morning to get 2 longer bolts to hold the fuel lines in place. But all in all good fit I am satisfied the only other thing is the hardware was kinda hidden in the packaging took me a few min to find it lol. I will try for some pics tomorrow but seattlemikes pretty much show it all.

Part of the appeal of the Rocky Road Supersliders is that they don't stick out as far as the others. They still provide the same protection from underneath, but don't add to the overall width.

Okay so got a couple longer bolts for the fuel line brackets bolted them up works good now. But I decided to call Rocky Road to let them know the factory bolts aren't quite long enough and they should supply 2 more bolts for them and he said well they haven't had any problems and I was the first one to call and mention it and he didn't really seem to care told me I could go to the parts store and get some longer bolts. I think that only 2 threads holding a fuel line bracket on isn't enough but maybe mine came with shorter bolts? Seattle mike did you or anybody else who has these sliders on a Trail experience this?

Sorry I missed your post yesterday. I had plenty of threads left on the bolts with the aluminum spacers in place. I'm not sure how many threads were showing, but the bolts tightened right up with no problems. Were the bolts you pulled from the bracket self-tapping or just normal?

The bolts I pulled were the self-tapping I don't think my spacers were any thicker either. Mine tightened up fine but would rather have a few more threads holding the fuel lines to the frame. I am very happy with the sliders other then the short stock bolts. The powder coat is good the fitment is good I only had to wait 2 weeks from the day I ordered them to the day they were delivered. just kinda throwing this out there in case anybody else decides to order these and they know what they might run into.

After reading / searching y'alls comments / opinions on Shrockworks v. RR, Ijust got off the phone ordering the Shrockworks....primarily due to the pissy 'I really don't care if you order or not' - sounding customer service from the competitior. Very disappointing. 6 weeks out from Shrockworks, but looking forward to them.
Thanks for the opinions on both sides, folks....it's helpful to a 4-runner noob. Hate they didn't make any for my 80 series.....

I'm continuing to hear a lot of comments on the bad customer service from RRO. I don't know who they have answering customer inquiries, but that person needs to be fired.
My interaction with the owner was nothing but pleasant, if a bit slow due to him being out of the country. Maybe he should be hearing people's experiences directly: [email protected]
