my bad, picture didn't send.
i got brake checked on Monday and destroyed the front end.
it still runs, but it's likely going to get totaled out unless i buyback. sad, but it happens.

So, good news and bad news, despite that wreck, the 4runner somehow isn't totaled. the insurance is covering the ~4700$ repair. I went out and bought all the parts I needed for about 800 which I don't mind spending as it still runs. I don't expect to get it back anytime soon, but it's nice to know that I will get it back.
I was planning to pay out of pocket and ditch insurance if they didn't cover it. The only mechanical thing on the front end that needed to be replaced was the radiator; despite the impact it didn't push into anything behind it.
I really owe a lot to this 4runner, I was going 50mph and didn't sustain any injuries, cuts or even bruises.

Glad to hear you're ok and you're getting the 4runner up and running again. Let me know if you need any help with deciding what to do. I build HID retrofits, so you may want to go ahead and do that. Also, I really like my aluminum radiator, but the stock ones work as well.

thanks for staying! it's going okay, body shop is being slow as usual, but everything is going to plan, thank god it's not over budget from what the insurance paid, got a few mods in the works as well:
-installing a auto dimming rearview mirror from a early 00's yukon (with temp and direction)
- got new sunvisors from a 98 es300 with mirrors and lights
-i need to install my fog light stalk because the fatlip has fog lights,
-also hoping to install the center dash console from a 99 so I have more areas for switches on the left side.
a lift, and some others that aren't quite ready.
just waiting to get it back at this point.
I'm excited though!

repair update: the body shop has continued to take their sweet time to get it done. I went down and looked at it yesterday, they have put on the fenders and that's about it.
I'm getting frustrated with them because before that, they had left the thing to sit in the sun for a month without the hood on it, which I was just delighted to learn about. (seriously?)
they left some of the parts out in the sun, left the headlights on the ground, but they sure were surprised it still ran after it sat for so long. I ended up leaving them a bad review on google and that's what got them to work on it, Hate to be negative but I've got to get to work somehow.
But: in the meantime I've been getting to work gathering parts for more little mods to do:
-interior hatch release handle (oem door handle from a 1999)
-interior hatch light that opens when I open the hatch
-heated seats (with switches from a 2002 infiniti qx4) (this one is still in progress)
-oem headrest holders for when the back seats are folded
I also am going to go buy another hood and bumper tomorrow, thankfully this bumper is not a fat lip, but still 290$ from my wallet for both and a radiator shroud.
If anyone's looking for a silver hood or green fat lip bumper, let me know!

Unfortunately just about the same position as I was in before, body shop continues to be uber slow, last i was there they'd removed the windshield and were "going to paint it", hoping to get it back sometime in July, but knowing them I won't lol

Finally, some good news.
It's not completely done, but the guys at the shop finally stopped just doing nothing and actually went and put the thing together.
I'm not happy with their work ethic but I'll admit they did a good job at fixing it for what it was. I'm planning to re-satoshi the grill (and make it better than it was before) while still retaining its' stock appearance. Got some other goodies in the mail as well during my wait.
Updated "To-do" mod list, AKA I have all the parts and just need to install:
-RX300 sunvisors with extensions and homelink
-Rear door OEM "Lemmeout 2.0" (1999 OEM door handle)
-Toyota Matrix 115v outlet mod (with power inverter)
--also got the coin holder
-OEM security light from '01 (as mine was broken)
-ScanGauge II - will mount in steering column plastic
-OEM foglight stalk
-Rear seat 99+ headrest holders for when the seats are down
-Rear door OEM hatch light mod (OEM Housing)
-Carplay Double Din radio
-Garmin Dash Mini II dashcam
-Overhead USB behind headliner (to power dashcam and another mod that I don't have ready yet)
-GNTX-177 Autodimming mirror mod (w/ compass and temp) (to make up for the lack of a field unit and to save a din slot)
-New dashboard (have to install myself of course)
-B&M 70268 transmission cooler
-32" light bar under front bumper
-aux fuse box from 99-06 VW Golf, Jetta & Beetle

unfortunately, as has become the norm, it's still not done, despite them sending me that picture and dropping off a new battery because they ruined my old one. Despite that, I've been working more on my new things. As some may have noticed the plastic valence for the front bumper isn't there. I actually am planning to mount a 32" light bar there.
I got the light bar this week, and had one other ace up my sleeve. Some early 2000's VWs have an auxiliary fuse box that can be bought separately for 12$ on amazon...I think you can see where I'm going here.
The lightbar was stupid simple to wire up, and I'm replacing the switch it came with with an OEM switch that I hope to find soon. It passes through the fuse box (that came with three 30a fuses) which in turn connects to the positive battery terminal. I plan to get some new terminals soon that will allow me to add other accessories. The fuse box has space for five accessories that I can add in the future, and I can also hook three more up to the 30A fuses with a small jumper cable, for a total of 8.

The fuse bars in the box. The light bar has a fuse on it already which I'm just going to use so I can save the 30A fuses for later. With some continuity testing, and from what I saw, the female connector can supply power to what could be three accessories, however as I'm yet to use it, I'm just going to leave it unused.
Gotcha. I wasn't sure if you had a part number or link for the connector that goes with the fuse block.
