The rola rack came in the mail today. I ordered it with the extension but can't decide what I like more.. I have some good ideas for a low profile mount so I'll be sure to post final pics.

I think it's a great buy for the price!

the first picture appears as if the roof rack goes to the middle of the sunroof is that how it is??
between the two i like the bottom more, but if you never tilt your sunroof then hey! good to go!

I personally like it with the extension. probably because I had a similar rack with an extension. I took mine off because of loss of mpgs. I didn't have a fairing. The sun roof will be very noisy if you decide to use the extension

I like the look better without the extensions. But I agree there might be a problem with the sun roof.

lose the extension unless you are certain you're going to maximize the length of this rack by storing tons of gear.

Not to be off topic but IMO 75% of people I see through pictures don't even use their giant roof racks. It is always empty....all show, no go!

i like the rola rack's low profile. I have seen them around but did not know of brand. I have the mega load warrior with ext. has done its job over the yrs.

haha yeah i totally agree I think its more like 85-90% too. Honestly that's why I bought my Rola rack (for show) and now it just sits in the garage and gets used maybe 5 or 6 times a year when i actually need it. I'll be rocking a different one, one of these days when i can make mine a trail rig but for now, I gotta enhance that gas mileage. :bravo:

Good choice on the rack man! i like it without the extension

Thanks for the feedback guys! Looks like half rack is the general consensus. I'll get some final pics when she's mounted up!

So I originally had the half rack and decided to add the extension because it spaced my kayak cradles further apart which I liked. The only downfall is like others have mentioned, the noise since it overhangs the sunroof. Even with the half rack it still made noise, maybe because I removed the plastic reflector they have for the front but I don't think that would make that much of a difference. Anyways here are some pics...

My J racks fit on the original rails, but you raise a valid point. Gotta do what you gotta do. Looks good.

Thanks. I was thinking of going with the j-racks but i was concerned with the fact that my boat pretty much lives on the top of my truck all summer and I liked having the boat closer to the roof with all my driving.
