Roof Rack 5th Gen

Does anyone know if you need to take the headliner down in order to change out the rails on a 2013 5th Gen? Part #63447-35040 and 63448-35040

Dont think so, you should be able to pop the plastic off and remove entirely.

Negative, pop the end caps off and unscrew the bolts.

Unless of coarse you have my luck and have a bastard bolt that broke on the bracket that needs to be drilled out.

Nope... I swapped the shiny roof rack on my SR5 for a Trail Edition roof rack, and didn't have to remove the headliner.

Obviously, it SHOULD just unscrew. In my case some ******* over bit and the entire bracket assembly, under the roof liner, was locked. It literally tore away and bent around. So again, what SHOULD be easy, can be a beatch.

Lol, now usually I would go with, "now that's the $hit that fu-cks with you Karma", but then you see the magic of the universe and how it all intertwines.

Instead I am TRIUMPHANT that I got the f-er out, and btw, glad to have helped my fellow man on the flip-side.
