Roof Rack Special for August

ah ok cool. I will see how funds are looking to hopefully get in on this before the end of the month. Maybe be able to put a down after the 15th on one.
 
If I ever decide that I need a roof rack, I will be buying yours.

Great work on these things, Whitson. You're providing an awesome product @ 1/2 of what it would cost for us to buy something similar from that "G" brand.

I have this crazy idea.

Been eyeing your rack for a while now, and of course it would cost more than the rack to ship up to Western Canada.

I am doing a 17 day trip around the Western half of the USA in December, staying at our company condo in Scottsdale from the 9-15th.

Think I could pay for one (with sunroof insert) and have it shipped to the condo? Have any shipping methods you can use where they would definitely hold it at the receiving yard until I get there?

Another option could of course be to ship it to a willing and trustworthy member of the forum. Of which there are many!

Oh, and it comes with all the mounting hardware? Would hate to be stuck across the continent with a rack I can't mount lol.

It might be a little while still so if anyone else in norcal wants one, Arv is ready. Had a couple financial obligations come up that i have to take care of first. If you still haven't picked one up when im ready, im still down to go halves with you on shipping.

Shipping to a condo "could" be an issue since most would be considered limited access by freight carriers, which just means they charge more fees. I could easily have it held at a hub nearby though, but im not sure how long they'd like a package hanging around, but yes, something could be worked out. It will come with everything needed to mount it, but keep in mind its bare steel so if it gets rained on it wont be too pretty on top of your rig. if painting it is your plan i could always hit it with a few cans of primer prior to shipment??
 
I'm not in the market right this minute for a roof rack, but probably will be within the next few months. I like that it's low profile, looks pretty sturdy, and build specifically for 3rd Gen 4Runners. How well does it play with rooftop tents? I'll be looking for one of those in about the same timeframe, and would hate to get a rack that won't play nice.
 
i have no idea really, ive never put a hand on a roof top tent, cuz im cheap... but given the mesh area is flat and sturdy, anyone who can change oil should be able to mount one, im sure the tents have more than one mounting option (?)

Rack arrived today at work...woohoo!! Now I just have to strap it to the top to get it home this evening. Thanks again, it looks great so far (I haven't had time to "play" with it since I am at work.)

Does anyone have pics of how they mounted hilift jacks and shovels and such to their racks? I am planning on doing this I think.

Well, that is going to take some time. I need to plan out my jack and accessory mounts, wiring routes for lights, prime and paint, etc. On top of all of that, I have a 1" body lift to install... gonna be busy.:biggrin2::reddance::biggrin2:

Now this is why I like small businesses. It's a lot more personal, you can get more customized customer service and a lot of the time, they do awesome stuff like be willing to accommodate their customers...

Keep up the good work, Whitson! :)

And I'd love a roof rack sometime, just not in the plans for now... I really like yours!
 
Hey Josh,

Do you ship these from a commercial with dock or residential address?

Trying to figure shipping quotes through my companys account and its in our favor if its from a business address with a dock.
 
When I have enough cash I'll probably buy your standard low profile rack.

I'm too poor from traveling to do it now though =(
