The quality of work on my new rack is great.

I wonder how many racks get painted with a basecoat/clearcoat setup?:banana:

Because I am in the middle of painting my truck's hood and flairs, I went ahead and painted the rack with the PPG basecoat black (Toyota code 202) and then cleared it. I should be able to mount it all up tonight.

Unfortunately on my truck, that paint wouldn't stay looking good long with all the loading and unloading I'd be doing.

Yeah, I am sure this will get scratched up real bad....but hey all it cost me is time. and maybe the clear coat will give some protection due to its hardness.

The front raised section really sets off the bumper.

Are you planning on putting lexan there?

Ok, may sell my yakima set up for one of these if there are enough people in the Bay Area to get the shipping cost down. How many people in the Bay Area are interested? I have a commerical address for recieving and can probably fit 4-5 in my van if I remove the second row of seats.:banana:

Shipping to the bay will be cheaper in batches of two as stated in the first couple posts in here. Myself and Arv are looking at picking one up soon. Might want to get a hold of Arv if you are ready to pick one up now.

Just got my rack in and it's great. I had it delivered to my work and everyone was drooling over it. I just need to find time to coat it and throw it on my roof.

no i ended up going with a hammer finish powder coat, hand sanding between the grating was just to much of pita and i'm kinda lazy like that , lol ;-)

These are some seriously sexy racks... I have alternative roof utilization plans, so one isn't likely in the cards for me any time soon, but if I were in the market for a regular roof rack, this is hands down the one I would purchase. You're not charging enough WMW!

ya how much did you pay for powdercoat?
im looking at getting mine linexd or rhinolined.

I'm just going to bedliner mine and sand it with 600 grit after to smooth it out. I re-finished my Baja Ladder this way a while back and it looks powder coated, holds up great, and is WAY CHEAPER. Just make sure you prep and prime the whole rack really good. I'm going to do my this weekend if I get it so I'll share info.
