Roof rack/spoiler delete?

You probably could buy the vehicle and have the dealer install the delete kit as part of the deal. They are Toyota parts and here is a thread on it. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/79563-diy-roof-rack-delete-w-pics.html

^^^ I actually just did this to my Trail. When I picked up my new T4R I found a bag of bolts and 4 plastic tabs in a plastic bag in the back with the hitch receiver and trailer brake wiring loom. I asked the salesman what they were for... he had no idea. Neither did I at the time:wow:. After reading the thread 1engineer posted above a few weeks ago, I recognised the plastic delete plates. For whatever reason my Trail came with the 4 plates, and the bolts and special washers/gaskets. The metal parts were already installed under the OEM roof rack. It kind of leads me to believe that the roof rack was installed on my Trail at the dealer or something.

I am still on the fence about the no RR look though. It's MUCH quieter on the highway without the turbulence created by the RR though.
