You beat me to it.:thumb3: I saw your installation thread and I was going to refer him it. I'm considering the Rhino Rack myself after seeing it on your TRD Pro. Trying to figure if there is a CVT RTT that would fit on it.

I got a Baja voodoo rack that mounts on the factory rails. I need to find a better mounting option but for $269 I think it was worth it.i need to adjust it and move it back a bit more. There is a lot of wind noise so I need to make a front wind fairing.

Hey I have a question and can't start my own thread yet so this seemed like as good a place as any to post it. I had a similar desire for a cheap basket that I could mount to the side rails so it sits lower than using factory cross bars.
I got a Thule Canyon 859 on the cheap off CL and was thinking of using either
Everbilt 1-1/2 in. x 96 in. Aluminum Angle with 1/16 in. Thick 802597 at The Home Depot - Mobile
Or
Everbilt 1-1/2 in. x 48 in. Plain Steel Angle with 1/8 in. Thick 800947 at The Home Depot - Mobile
And basically making something similar to the Rola low profile mounts that I've seen plenty of people talk about.
Anyone have any thoughts on pros/cons of aluminum versus steel? Clearly the steel is going to be stronger. But it seems to me as long as the aluminum is strong enough the steel is just extra weight and worry over rust.
As far as mounting the basket I'm sure I can either use ubolts like the rola mounts or drill holes directly through the basket.

yeah, it mounts to the existing rails. It's the pioneer model. Don't remember what the model # was, but you can call Rhino Rack on their site and tell them your make/model and they'll tell you exactly what parts you need... that's what i originally did. Almost bought the wrong parts til I called.

What shovel/mount combo are your using on your rhino rack??

I purchased the hilift mount and the shovel mount from rhinorack too. Never got a chance to instal the shovel mount though, kinda looks bulky to me in person.
