Roof Top Tool Box

Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm thinking I want to move some recovery gear to a toolbox on my new Gobi Stealth. I know about the Gobi toolbox, but I'm still looking at options.

Has anybody used this one? No. 30 Tool Box with Mounting Brackets | Top Mount Boxes| Northern Tool + Equipment

It's got a lot more room than the Gobi, for a little less $$.

oh. Never mind. You're right - I overestimated the available height - this box is too tall for the Stealth rack.

I had a custom one fabricated for my Gobi. It's in my build thread.... scroll down towards the bottom. It looks pretty shallow, but I can cram a ton of crap in it.

You're not crazy...it's been done 1000's of times. In the past I've used a gun case or pelican case, since their not that tall and are typically weather sealed.

You're not crazy...it's been done 1000's of times. In the past I've used a gun case or pelican case, since their not that tall and are typically weather sealed.

I ordered the Gobi box today. Before that, I made up a dummy box same size, fit in my chains, cable, rope, shackles, jack accessories (for lifting using the sliders). I think I'm in business. Thanks to all of you for your valuable input.
