Roozter's '16 SR5P Stealth Runner

Swapped out the Toytec HD coils for the regular duty Toytec coils today. Looks a lot better now.

For anyone that is interested I measured the HD coil next to the regular coil. Looks like 7/8" taller on the HD coils and you can see that it is thicker also. Tell you what, the Toytec regular duty coils were way easier to install, that's for sure!

I renamed my build thread because:

1. Saker already had the name "Midnight Build" and at first I couldn't come up with anything better so I shamefully copied. :moping: :sorry:

2. The new name really reflects the theme and style I am going for.

So welcome to the new and improved Roozter's '16 SR5P Stealth Runner.

Love the Stealth runner. I built one myself. Couldn't be happier. Black on black on black is the way to go!

I know! I remember that you needed those brand new HD springs that I ordered incorrectly. I hope they are working out for you!

They are great! With the added weight of the 3rd row and my tent, they look nice. Plus when I get my steel bumper with a swing out, it should still hold well.

I did not replace the spare tire. Still stock. I figure since my 4Runner is not full-time 4 wheel drive the stock spare can get me back home or to a shop if necessary.

Boss or Ultimate?

I am trying to decide between the Toytec Boss and Ultimate. Has anyone had issues with their Ultimate after they put on a front or back steel bumper?
 
I don't know about the ultimate. You may want to look at HD springs in the rear if you will routinely carry 200 - 300 lbs more than stock in the rear. I can't remember if they have heavier springs for the front. You can also call Toytec. They are very willing to help.

I like what you've done with your T4R, looks great.
The more I look at those pocket flares, the more I like em'.
Did you paint them or have a shop paint the flares?

No harm on the name early on either...there was / is enough room for 2 ! :D

Hi Saker,

Thanks for the compliments. I really like what you have done with your rig as well. I took a lot of cues from what you have done.

I really like the pocket flares. IMO I think they give a nice little pop or flair :-)

I had a shop paint them. I am not good at spray painting at all. And to do it right and buy or rent all the equipment and then still not have it look right due to my lack of skill. I decided to just let a dealer body shop paint and install them. They were $600 to paint and install.

I need to take a recent photo showing my badge blackouts. I just keep forgetting.
