Roozter's '16 SR5P Stealth Runner

Hi Saker,

Thanks for the compliments. I really like what you have done with your rig as well. I took a lot of cues from what you have done.

I really like the pocket flares. IMO I think they give a nice little pop or flair :-)

I had a shop paint them. I am not good at spray painting at all. And to do it right and buy or rent all the equipment and then still not have it look right due to my lack of skill. I decided to just let a dealer body shop paint and install them. They were $600 to paint and install.

I need to take a recent photo showing my badge blackouts. I just keep forgetting.

Thank you Sir! :hail:
I am assuming those fees were in addition to what you had to pay for the flairs!!!??

Yes, that's right $600 to paint and install plus the cost to buy the flares and I think they were $400 ish?

LED Hood Light Kit

I posted install pics of my LED Hood Light Kit in the LED Light Kits thread but I never posted pics here. This LED Light Kit is very well made and I am very happy with the quality, ease of install and the results. You can also see the before and after TRD Pro Air Intake in these pics.

Hey brother, nice ride! I've gone back and forth with what I want to do with mine and have decided on the BOSS lift as well and want to copy you! Can't decide on the standard or HD springs though in the rear ... We have a 250lb roof-top tent on top of our 4R 3/4 of the year (take it off for winter) and camp a lot, so I'm wondering if I'll need them. I guess I can always lower the front on standard rear springs if it sags too much in the rear with the weight. I have a 3/4 ton truck so I won't tow with this thing, but I pack the cabin full on our adventures.

What were your fronts set at when you had the HD springs in your picture?

Also did you notice any ride difference between the regular and HD springs?

Thanks for the cool thread! I am also in Utah, a transplanted oil field worker, recently moved up to Farmington

Thanks! Nice to "meet" you! I am in the Riverton area. I drive to Ogden every two weeks to deliver popcorn to Winco & Ridley's but I am using my '04 Tundra for that.

Tomorrow I'll try to remember to look up what the Toytec site recommends. But it sounds like you are in need of the HDs.

I will also try to look up the guy I sold my HD springs to. He could give you his opinion. He has a third row seat and a roof top tent.

Feel free to remind me if I forget!

Just wanted to say that the ride is looking great! Just picked up a black 16' trail for my wife and plan to start a build soon. Did your just paint the roof railes to black them out?

Thanks! Nah, I paid the dealer. It was a dealer add-on that I went for. Also the blacked out badges and window tint all from the dealer.

Couple questions!

- Was the dealer able to match the midnight black paint or are they gloss black? Hard to tell from the photo
- do the BW Flares go over the stock flares or do they need to be removed?

Thanks!

Yes, dealer matched Midnight Black on the paint. You have to remove the stock fender flares on the rear doors.
