Wow, on the link, if I read it right, the rear seat monitors can display Navigation map?? That is cool (like an airline during it's flight). Looks to be only if your HU is a Rosen as well.......... Still cool!

Can't wait to see pics! When my daughter gets bigger, this is a definite mod.
 
I must say they are great when you have kids on board. The only problem is the headrest itself. They seem to push your head forward, as my ladyfriend reminds me ever time she gets in.

This is the perfect mod if you have two children. No more fighting over what to watch. In addition, its probably better for them since it is at eye level instead of in the middle up high like most other DVD players are mounted.

Ahh...so it wasn't just me! LOL. I also noticed this but at the height I have it actually cushions my neck pretty well and is not uncomfortable. My wife haven't complained about anything and I'm defininately not saying anything about this to her! LOL.

I get some slight static on one particular radio station here in DC, Hot 99.5, that I never heard before the install. I have the FM modulater set at 88.1 so I don't think that could cause it. MrT, do you notice any static? I might try changing the FM Mod to another channel to see if that changes anything. It's wierd because all the other radio stations sound fine; its just this one station, unless there's something wrong with their transmitter.

Looks good, are they installed into the OEM headrests? Also if you don't mind, what was the cost includind install?

I fixed the static problem. The antenna wasn't screwed in all the way. I guess when they washed the car, they didn't tighten the antenna all the way down after they finished. No more static now.

Now I just have to find the Pep boys shorty antenna.....

This system replaces the factory headrest. The cost installed will range anywhere from $1295-$1595 depending on where you get them. These systems match the oe interior in color,grain and seam stitch perfectly. Can't go wrong with this system, just make sure you get them from an authorized dealer.
 
^^ Thanks for the info. Cheaper than I expected as the best price I found was $1350 on ebay and of course thats not installed and we know the dealer aint cheap. lol
Guess i'll have to stick with my $150 10" post mount, still works good or she can use the iPad mount.
 
how to install a headrest dvd player

If you take your car on long family road trips, having headrest DVD players for backseat movie viewing for the kids will make those trips easier. If your vehicle didn't have these DVD players originally installed, you can install aftermarket models into the headrests. This will take some cutting up of your headrests but can still be easier to install that an overhead player by comparison
