Alright pics are here! Got my SS 1.2 suspension system in along with 285/75/16 Duratracs. finally today I put in 4 of the badass custom sway bar links from a Mr. [MENTION=98153]MStudt[/MENTION] (btw couldn't be happier with them!) next up are the rock sliders and armor and shit that I can't afford yet

update for the 2 people who have ready my boring ass build thread so far :heh: , bought my SS 1.2 kit! should be delivered within the next two weeks! Time for the real work to begin :target:

I love my SS 1.2 installed back in 2009. Finally replaced my rear shocks in August with 70,000 miles (overdue). Customer service has been amazing every time I've emailed or called Steve, top rate. Excellent choice!

Took the truck to break in the new suspension the other night up at Cuesta Ridge in San Luis Obispo with my off-road club.

Everything went great except for one thing. The nuts holding the rear sway bar to the axel sheared off! It might be because that the adapter bracket for the lift was slightly lower than the axel and caught on rocks.

Also my upper ball joint boot ripped on my drivers side. Oh well that one can wait

Update on the rear sway bar, I just took that sucker out. Because of the heavier coils from the lift I shouldn't feel that "lean" too much. Especially since my front sway bar is still firmly attached

If your going to remove any swaybar you should remove the front. No rear swaybar on these trucks makes them really unstable, especially on the highway.

Oh damn really? I have been driving several days with it just connected to my end links and resting on the diff (ya I know bad to do). So it wasn't bolted to the axle at all and I haven't really noticed that much difference driving at all. I I removed it because the screws sheared off in the mounts on the axle

I know a few guys on the forum run w/o rear sway bars. Do you not have a ton of body roll around corners? As far as removing them for off road, I don think its necessary because you can get your axle to hit the bumpstop with them still installed. They don't really limit travel. I've removed my front bar. More nose dive but honestly worth it.

It sounds to me like the heads broke off and the bolts are still in the holes? Try drilling them out with a tap.
IMHO its just makes them bobby w/o a rear sway bar. Not good when you need to make an evasive maneuver.

No not very much body around corners or u-turns, I dont drive fast enough to make a huge difference. I do have a tap to remove the bolts but at the moment I'm at school so I need to find a buddy to borrow a cordless drill and tap-handle off of. I do want the sway bar back it but right now it isnt doing anything and just getting in the way so it is temporarily out of commission until I can fix the bolts

Alright I just ordered my Stubbs Welding HD-SKO rock sliders and all new ball joints to replace my old ones!

I've had my rear off for 6k miles and I've had nothing bad to say about it at all. Definitely more flex.

Just got back from Hollister Hills SVRA. Did some pretty cool trails and kept up with some of the big rigs! Pictures to come

Did my deckplate mod today while I was with [MENTION=113939]JerkyDrewster[/MENTION] helping him put on his new CBI bumper! I commandeered some of his tools but I got it done in about 40 minutes
