Rotating Tires

How do you guys rotate your tires? I bought 5 duratrac tires and would like to rotate in the spare. I was planning on doing it like the picture below on the right. I don't think there should be an issue but I just want to double check!

Depends if you have a matching spare rim. If not then you have to unmount tires, swap rims, re-mount, & re-balance. Even my Dodge had a matching spare rim, unlike the SR5, bad Toyota.

I rotate every 3 or 4k miles or so and like the first one, just back to front and keep them on the same side.

I tried like the second one once on my truck and the tires road like crap and felt lumpy.I don't know if it's because of the big lugs on my old mud tires ,the way the radial belts had set or whatever.

Also FYI...the 5th wheel(spare) doesn't have a TPMS sensor and a different rim.
Steel on TE/SR5's and one just like the other 4 aluminum ones on the Limited except it's only epoxy primer green, instead of silver.

I do mine about every 5k and do it like the middle picture. Fronts straight back and rears crisscrossed. This is how I have always done it, didnt know there was any other way :)

I believe that you mean't rears straight up, fronts criss-crossed to the rear.
