Did you really have to ask that question, best advatar by far!
I have an 08 V8 w/3,900 miles and I dont have any vibration of any kind. What I did notice that if the truck sits for a week or so without starting it, once I crank it, the intial turnover is so loud like something broke free then its quiet. I am guessing its b/c the oil settled and its metal on metal for a brief second, at least I hope thats what it is.

Its not negative info. The V8 is a better engine period - everything about it is better from the iron block to the torque and hp.

Dont give me the MPG runaround either, I got 22mpg (almost 400 miles on 1 tank!!) going 80-85 with a/c on during a recent 500 mile trip.

V8 = superior! I recently drove my friend's '08 V6, and I like the behavior of my engine better for sure.

However, on the MPG thing, 22 mpg?!?! I don't get better than 16-17. This could be due to my lift, tires, and possible engine problems though.

Around 20mpg is the best I can get. Usually around 18 at 70mph. I wish I could figure out a way to get just a bit more...gas is on the way UP hee in the MEM area.

More weight is all I see with the v8.;):

Try finding real gas without Ethanol.

Can't be done. Not here anyway.

On the subject of MPG though, the best I can do on a road trip is 16.5-17. This is considering I have a lift, fairly aggressive tires, and a lead foot with extra lead in it, of course. Still though, would a cold air intake or new exhaust system make a difference? I have heard of negative information about CAI's, and I feel like the 4th gen is too new looking to have exhaust. Once the new one comes out, I am getting an exhaust, pronto!
