Route to Zion for Half Marathon

I am running a half marathon at Zion in April and I would like some suggestions for route planning and camping along the way from Oklahoma to Utah. Instead of making the drive in one day like I planned, I was hoping to get a night in between to stay somewhere a little more remote. I would preferably like to do the majority of the driving the first night, so I would not have a long trip the second day. I already have spots to stay outside of Zion, so any suggestions for my way there coming from the T4R community would be a huge help.
