RPM speed on 2005 V6

I do not know much about car. My RPM is pretty low. At 65 mph, the RPM is only showing about 1900. When I stop at the light and start speeding up to 40 mph, I notice that the RPM the most is up to 2200.
I have a 2001 Accord V6. I could easily do 4000 RPM when cutting someone on the highway.

Is that normal with my new 2005 V6, 4x4?

Those Accords rev a little bit higher to hit the same torque/HP numbers as the Runner. My '04 Runner with a 4Spd hits just below 2100 for 70mph, and the shift points seem to hit around 2200 - 2300. Once your Runner is broken in (after 1000 miles), try some passing on the highway and get those RPMS up to 4k. Neck snapping acceleration is one of the strong points of this machine!

Yeah it's odd how low it revs but you will notice most of the newer cars rev lower, guess with all that extra power they can do that

It is not just the new 4Runners that do this, my 3rd generation goes around 68 MPH at 2,000 RPM. I have a lot less torque and horsepower, but what the car companies are trying to achive is better fuel consumption. I once drove a Ford Taurus wagon that was geared so high, when I was at highway speed @ 1,500 RPM I would hit a small hill and it would sputter and almost stall. When I stepped on the gas, the engine would ping and knock. But on the highway it would get better mileage than my 4 cyl. Honda Accord wagon of the same year. It is all in the gearing.

Another friend had a 3.0 liter V6 SUV with 150 HP about the same size as my 4Runner and it seemed to have about the same type of pick-up as my 4Runner. The reason, gearing, it was about 2,750 RPM at around 68 instead of my 2,000 RPM.

Yup, it's normal. My sister has a 2002 Accord V6 that is "rev happy", whereas my 4Runner stays relatively low. I can hit 4k rpm in the Accord just accelerating slowly, but in the 4Runner, it stays below 2k rpm. It's just the way the car was designed. Our Corolla drives like my 4Runner, but my uncle's Avalon drives like the Accord.

That is the first thing I noticed about my 4Runner when I got it. I definitely agree that it is a good thing. I barely hear the engine running when I am cruising down the highway. I barely ever get it up to near the redline when I want to accelerate hard. My friend's Sequoia drives the same way and we like it. When I hit 4,000 RPM's, it really throws me back in my seat. On the other hand when I drive my parents X5, it definitely revs higher than my 4Runner. When I go to pass someone, you hear it.
