RTE Fabrication building new bumpers for 5th Gen - they're asking for input

Adding a slight curve ball - you'll be designing based off the 2014 model which has a different front bumper and headlight design than the 2010-2013 models. Make sure you consider headlight trim pieces for each design so us "old" 5th gen guys can benefit too!

If you need an earlier model 5th gen to test fit I'm sure I could drop the 4Runner off for a little while [MENTION=114278]RTE[/MENTION]

I'm dropping off my truck this Saturday for Ryan and his crew to perform all the initial measurements and black-engineering-magic! We're looking at late 2014 for a final product, but I told him to take his time.

Really looking forward to getting this started.

Slowly but surely...

Hello all,

I'll be dropping my 14' Trail off with [MENTION=114278]RTE[/MENTION] on 29 Nov for the 2nd part of this process. They'll have the truck for another 2-week period to do some test-fitting of the initial mockup. (Ryan correct me if I'm wrong about any of this) From here they'll fine-tune any measurements and last minute design features where/if needed in order to finalize CAD designs. From there, it shouldn't be too much longer before I get them on and you all can start placing orders. I know Ryan is incredibly busy, so patience is key. I'm very much looking forward to the final product - it should be a unique and incredibly strong front and rear bumper pair.

Hey Mace., we've hit a snag. One of the shops that helps during R&D also builds race trucks....expensive ones, so the 4Runner bumper production has been put on the back burner until they churn out a few of these trucks. I'm hoping soon, but haven't been told a date to drop it off yet.

Soon as I hear/see anything, I'll be sure to post pictures straight away.

That's a bummer. Thanks for the update though. A friend of mine is a hardcore land rover enthusiast and certified LR driving instructor. I mentioned RTE to him the other day and he had nothing but positive things to say about their products.

RTE!? Shit yeah!! I've been using them for my Land Rover stuff for years. No one makes better stuff than them. My discovery is all RTE and that stuff takes a beating like nothing else.
