It's not beating a dead horse and yes we already have a great guide. But there are mixed reviews on the 275/70/17, some say it rubs, some say it doesn't. It seems like it depends on the package (TE, TRD etc) and tire manufacturer. This is what I'm trying to gather. Different tire makers make the same sized tire slightly different, like tread width and depth.
The problem is that two vehicles of identical year, trim level, wheel, tire make and model and tire size will have different results. We have seen this over the years time and time again. If someone wants to guarantee that they won't rub they need to stick to stock size.
