Rubber mount from T-case? Description??

Was looking under my truck today, and saw what appears to be something similar to a rubber mount or like what a rubber tranny mount would look like, but this one is hanging down from my t-case. I can grab it and kind of move it a little, and it is def. rubber of some sort. It is kind of just hanging there though, and doesn't seem to be dampening anything. I can take a pic tomorrow if noone knows what I am describing. If you are laying under the truck with your head towards the front of the truck, the mystery piece is to the left of the transfer case's small skidplate, just out in the open kind of hanging there.

Weird Weird Weird. And of course there is no protection for it, especially with it being bolted directly to the T-case, I would hate to catch that on a large immovable object.

It dampens some of the drivetrain vibration. You'll see one hangin' off your exhaust pip as well (pre-muffler).
