Rubber strip on the roof flies off in car wash

Are we talking the strip than runs from the windshield along each side of the roof and under the roofrack supports?

On each side of my 2004 SE those strips are bulging out of the channel just above the windshield. Guess I'll have to add this to my increasing list of warranty issues.

Mine too. My truck's only two months old and I think it's been like that since day one. I'll look at the ones on the dealer, if they're like that, I'm not going to bother. I'll just take it as a "designed" flaw.

I work at a carwash in San Diego. Been there for 6 years. Washed my Runner numerous times and never had problems with the rubber strip. Our blower doesn't come down on your car. It is stationary. As far as scratches, my car doesn't have any. Believe it or not we run Rolls Royce's and Bentley's through.
