Rubbing on full turn

Got my VTX wheels with KO2 265/70R17 installed today on my 2018 4runner. Like everyone said, there’s rubbing on full turn.

Wondering if anyone has any tips or guides to trimming for no rub.

Listed in order of escalation:

Trim and/or pull the front fender wells forward.

Make sure your alignment is within specs.

Cut the body mounts.

Profit.

Yep, the liners.

People melt them with a heat gun, pull them forward and make new screw holes, or just go at them with a razor knife and cut huge holes in them like I did because I got sick of the noise they were making.

Regardless, you will also experience rub under braking and cornering on some occasions no matter what you do.

Probably. That's one of the quick dealer fixes of rubbing after a lift.

Yes. But you will also probably need to trim the painted fender lip. It is soft enough plastic you can do it with a sharp knife (I used a box cutter with a new blade. Just cut it to line up with the liner after it is relocated forward. I do still occasionally get some slight rub at near full lock when suspension is flexed off road and tires are aired down. You may never fully remove the possibility, but this should take care of 95% of it with 265's.

Trim some of the front bumper cover and a body mount chop will solve all issues.

Did you read the tire fitment guide in the stickies - before you added new wheels and tires?
