here's a couple from this weekend, made it through gatekeeper and through the granite bowl but had to turn around at little sluice due to me being the only rig in my crew that went up, no body armor and managed to make it through with minimal scratches/dents lol. You should have seen the look on people's faces when they saw a 2007 t4r makin it with no armor or lockers! Priceless

Hahaha I would have cheered you on if I saw you cruising by.
Yeah I was wondering how far you guys made it in - ballsy with no sliders or armor! Great pics!

Great photo shot there. Now you got me wanting to try this run now. I think I can make it! LOL.

Rob, he'll always cheer us less capable beast on, I think he just likes to watch all the carnage happening to are rigs, especially while he just putts through with his monster.

Just waiting for them sliders to be shipped.

And congratulations there Rob on having another member donating there winnings to you.

Hahaha.... this is true.

Man, I'm so happy about the sliders! I can't wait to get them on. I'm gonna see if I can go grab some cheap sheet metal. I talked to my friend at his shop yesterday, he says he'll bend it and drill it for me no problem. Depending on how cheap I can get the sheet metal, I'm just gonna make full skids (besides the gas tank) since that one is still hanging on. He is also going to make some skids for my lower links (after fixing the one I crushed). That way I won't be cringing every time I come down off a ledge or onto a rock lol.

I've got the clearance, but you've got the armor Leonard!! :D

Not sure how to deal with those lower links also, bent my passenger one 1/2" on the last run with you. Been thinking about doing a tank one due to not sure how many more hits it can take anymore.

Should be getting my sliders at the end of the month. Think I could handle trying this if RosaRunner if he is game .

I hear this run can be a long one 3-5 days. Can you chime in on this, Kevin.

Did you bend the link or crush the mount? You can make your own and use johnny joints or find a company that sells some new beefy ones. They are pretty expensive though. They are called "trailing arms" if you want to search for em.

Which sliders did you get?

Leonard you should try and make the Gold Lake TTORA meet in early August to run Snake Lake trail again... can't remember if I told you already and if you told me you had something going on....

I bent the mounting bracket on the side a little, bent them back. Might weld some plates against them for future blows. The arm has a ) shape to them, 1/2" curve in the middle. I just flipped them around and take another hit on them and straighten them or just heat them up and run them over with my rig.

Sliders- 4x innovations. Like Sam has, having them made to 70" instead. going from wheel to wheel w/kickouts.

Yah, got the invite you sent, might be doing my family camp out at that time, be at CAPLES CREEK CAMP ground. Over by Bowman, up the trail to get to Fauscher lake, usually a week. Camp is about 45-50 minutes to Gold lake. Things might be a little tight this year, work isn't like it used to be during the summer for me.

^^^ lol we think alike - I would probably do the same thing if I had bent mine. Great choice on the sliders! I'll be interested to see how perfect they fit, being 70". I'm not a fan of the kick out, only because I saw my friend Kao (KSWAY) get hung up on a rock with them. He ended up cutting off the kick out lol. I got even more lucky since the sliders Nick gave me don't have one! :D

Ah yes I remember now - well maybe we can find a back trail and come visit haha

Not a problem, there's a turn off 4-5 miles up the 49 that has a national forest road that takes you to Jackson meadows. When I camp at where I'll be at takes about an hour to get to Downieville from there going that way.
