RUNNER came Home today!

New to the forum but have been reviewing posts for awhile to get research done on the 4runners. Thanks everyone for your posts. It mad a difference. Today was a good day! I just got a new 2015 SR5 Premium with the 3rd row home today. (The boys already named it Runner). I took my awesome wife to look at both the 4Runner and Highlander to do a side by side test drive. I left it up to her to make the decision on which vehicle to choose since she will be the primary driver. Once she got back from the drives, she basically gave me the opening to get the Runner. I was dancing the happy dance once she said yes. I was surprised since we are moving from a Sienna mini-van back to a SUV for the family. We will miss some of the space and the captain's chairs in the back of the Sienna but we wanted something to be able to get a little further back in the mountains. Weather Tech coverings are on the way. I just couldn't resist. I told her that sliders are next for steps. It just may be awhile.

Familiar story. When I was replacing my trusty Pathfinder, I was between a Pilot and the 4R, leaning Pilot just 'cause I'm a Honda fan. My wife took one look at the 4R and said "no, this is the one you want". I learned a long time ago to listen to her.

I have learned a couple of things along the way about my wife. Yesterday, it was that she is a better negotiator. We work well together. Here is her Runner with his garage mate Big Red. Big Red does okay in mountains but he is my tow rig and kitchen sink hauler.

Thanks! I parked next to a 2012 trail edition this afternoon at Walgreens. Rack, hidden winch, toyotech lift, etc.... Great example of what it would be and what you can do.
