Runner v Tacoma Bed

Hey, I may be completely wrong... But bare with me. I've always been told that is 4Runner and Tacoma are built off the same chassis. With that in mind, I assume that a lot of their components are the same. Now,

My question is this:

I was thinking of taking a Tacoma Double Cab bed lining, cutting it (somehow), and putting it into my 4Runner. Is that even possible? I know the easier route would be Rhino Line it, but I don't wanna do that.

I want the inside to be like an FJ, in some sense. I want that ease to clean interior.

Probably not impossible, but it doesn't sound like anything worth doing. When I say that, I just mean it would too much work for the end result.

The cargo area of a 3rd gen doesn't come close to resembling the truck bed of the Tacoma. Also, and I'm not positive, but I was under the impression the composite liner actually IS the bed on those models.

Yes. They have same chassis (I think lol) and most parts are interchangeable...but im not sure that applies to the dimensions of the body? Its not like 1st gens that were pickups + top=4runner. I love the floor in the FJ and would like something similar in my 4runner...but I don't think a taco bedliner is the solution for me

Hm... Well there goes that idea... haha Any suggestion on how to make it easier to clean like the FJs?

I'm seriously considering doing this to the inside of mine. Just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.
