However, if you read the description under the photo they are shown on a highlander, not a 4R.

I like how they describe the 4Runner's boards being "designed specifically to correspond with the 4Runner’s unique styling cues" but use the Highlander's photo because it only "varies slightly." Guess they aren't that unique or specifically designed.

That being stated, I'm hoping that they look more like the Highlander's and less like the Gulf State's ones with the chrome strip. Based on the description, it sounds like the former.

Hello everyone I just got off the phone with Toyota parts and it seems that OEM Toyota Running boards are now available for 2010 Toyota 4Runner's!!!!

Part # PT 925-89100 includes both running boards and hardware to install. Price is $549.00 plus tax & does NOT include installation.

These roll-formed running boards are designed specifically to correspond with the 4Runner’s unique styling cues, while providing easy step-in access to the vehicle. With integrated, skid-resistant step pads that provide for secure footing at all times, the running boards also feature a textured black powder coating, enhancing the 4Runner’s rugged appearance. (As shown on the Highlander. 4Runner running boards vary slightly).

We are interested in adding nerf bars to our SR5 and would like to know which of the two brands are more rigid or have a higher quality feel to them, etc. I believe the two options are Westin and Steelcraft. The Westins are a few bucks more and have a shorter warranty than the Steelcrafts. Both would be the black colored mild steel. Steelcraft advertises a lifetime warranty but I am guessing that is only for the stainless versions. Thanks for any feedback.

I just had the official Toyota running Boards installed at my dealer. Black with chrome edge. Nice look, easy install. I think I was the first in my area to order them. I'll try and post some pics when I figure out how.

I had the OEM ones put on my 2010 SR5 back in late April. The cost posted here sounds about what I paid for them installed.

Technically the OEM ones were just released, SE Toyota was equiping 4R's with running boards, but only for them (and if you wanted to buy them on-line from them). I believe, from what I have been told and read, the running board that were just listed on Toyota's site under the 4R acc. page are the true OEM ones. I am curious to see the real difference between the 2 now that they have been released. I am going to have my dealer pull up some images of them, would LOVE if they were moulded so we could remove the rocker panel and mount the board there, still keeping the 'higher look' to the 4R but having a nice step as well. I really do NOT want to mount board below the panel.

I know the SE running boards have the chrome edge, but the 'official' Toyota ones do not 'look' like they do. Hard to tell, only one photo on-line under their acc. and it is not even on a 4R. Are you sure these are the ones just released? If so do you have the part #?

Bull Bars...Finally....

Well like the title says Bull bars actually made for our 2010 Toyota 4Runner's. The brand is Black Horse and come in both black & stainless steel. These look & fit awesome. Now, it looks like they changed the height of the bar a smidge, but it also looks like the photo has been photoshopped pretty clumsily. I still wouldn't buy it without seeing close-ups of where it attaches and pictures that haven't been chopped.

Yeah guess you make a good point. They do however look better than the Broadfeet. I talked to a sales rep & told him about the way it would sit. He assured me that they are the first company to bring these out for the 2010 4Runner's & have been out for 3 weeks now. $230 shipped sounds expensive for a product that doesn't have a real test fit picture. I like the black one but would hate for it to sit that low!:smashputer:

OK guys, I'll get the pics posted in the next couple of days. I'm sure these are the ones just released. I got them from a dealer who was waiting for Toyota to release them and didn't have an aftermarket that he would sell me.

They do look very similar to the SET boards. I'm a bit disappointed; I was hoping for a look similar to the Highlander.

Thanks SeattleMike for showing the potential problems with this guard !! Someone not knowing may have bought this grill guard. If a company DOES start manufacturing one without the shortcomings SeattleMike mentions, I'll be first in line . Thanks again

The small chrome accent compliments the accent on the "side skirt" well, but there are a few issues (for some). We had an older gentleman complain about the interference caused by the "side skirt" so we cannot place his whole foot on the running board. Granted, this is likely an isolated incident, but I can see this being an issue when trying to get something on/off the roof rack.

As for the Trail Edition (and the uber-rare 4-cylinder), a different board type will be available. Based on the vehicle design, it is likely to simply have different brackets (shorter) to accommodate the loss of the 'side skirt' piece. The alternative rumor we've heard is that it will be a rock rail with step assist, similar to that on the FJ. Based on Toyota's intent for the TE, the rumor holds some ground~ but only time will tell.

Finally!! Running boards installed by dealer last week. Added 20% tint. Sorry for photo, it was getting dark.

Looks awesome.....i too have the blizzard pearl and waitng for my running boards to arrive. Can't wait to get them on, i kinda customized it a bit also with some drop stars 22" ds03 wheels and a billet grille in the front, new to the forum thingy and haven't figured out how to pics up lol, when i figure it out ill put up my pics.
