Running rough after timing belt replacement

Hi,

I got my truck back together after replacing the timing belt and a bunch of other maintenacne (plugs, wires, valve cover gaskets, water pump, thermostat...)

It runs rough now and my immediate thought is that I screwed up the belt install somehow and the timing is off.
To verify, I removed the upper timing belt cover, rotated the crankshaft so that they camshafts are at TDC. Without removing everything else below I can't see the crank pulley to verify if it is at TDC as well so I want to know if I can verify the TDC position of the crankshaft if the timing notch on the crankshaft pulley is at zero on the timing marks that are on the lower cover.

Will this method work, becuase it does line up at zero.

Thanks!

ahh there could be the problem toyota's really don't like anything but denso or ngk wires and plugs as for the plugs id go back to the dual ground ones

Hmmm... Possible (especially since I noticed the sticker on the engine noting the requirement for the dual ground AFTER I bought the others.)

I had Bosch in there before and they worked great until one of them busted in half while still installed.

I will look at replacing them. Do you know if my synopsis of the way to verify TDC is correct by comparing the timing marks to 0 deg?

Thanks!
