After seeing many build threads I figured I might as well do one. I am reluctant because if the wife finds this and sees what I really spent I would be in trouble :spy:
This was my first 4Runner and if you can guess by my username I have had Subaru's in the past. After a few Subies and growing up and having a family we outgrew them
reggers:.
We had a 2013 Highlander lease and that was a great car but I traded it in for a 2016 4Runner Premium 4X4 with 3rd row. We picked it up with 7 miles on it and had not even been in PDI yet with the dealership. :hail:I bought it from Toyota of San Bernardino because they were the only ones wanting to deal and not charge $5k over sticker. Here she is when we bought her:
After we drove home the first thing the wife said was "You better not mod this like all your other cars. This is our family car" In my head all I heard was :lalala: HAHA.
I wanted a TRD Pro but I wanted to have the 3rd row option. While it might be small it comes in handy for nieces, nephews, and shuttling around the drunk friends that I dont want driving. Good thing the back window rolls down. So I went ahead and swapped my SR5 Rims with TRD Rims.
After this I did a run with the SoCal group to Cleghorn. I realized I wanted more than just TRD Rims. I started stalking this forum for choices and options. Google search came in very handy along with sticky threads. Below are my Mods that I have done so far. While not as extensive as other builds its a slow progression.
