S.S. Minnow Build Thread

I've had a paint plan for a long time. Had some time, so I got started. Doors are back on due to rain and temps in the 40's. I didn't like the mismatched doors, so I started painting.

Interesting...
I like the old look better. But...as you mentioned. can't run around with tube doors 24/7/365 :)
should be cool when it's all done

Just might get something done before Moab..........

SO the front left tire has a wobble. Nothing stands out on the ground, so I am preparing to tear it apart and see if I can find it. Wish me luck.............

Good Luck I need an alignment before I head out myself.

One of your UCA's are probably bent ?:moon::naughty:
haha
Can't wait to do the "Mario Mod" :sobbing:

Embarrassed to say what the wobble was, but just make sure you bolt everything back in when working on your rigs.

I just got an alignment a month ago, but the wobble cause some wear on the front left tire. Hoping a rotation at this point will minimize the problem of uneven wear. We'll see.........

Tomorrow I clean everything and start packing in tools, tube doors and camping gear. I also have to fix the rear window. Busy, busy, busy!

I was wondering if it was what you were working on last time you brought your runner over... I didn't want to say anything though.

CV axle requires 6 bolts, not 2. And if you do only have 2 barely holding it on, it would be nice if they were tight. Guess I only did the hand tight thing last time and forgot to torque them..

Two out of three ain't bad. Two out of six? Bad. Have fun in Moab--looking forward to hooking up on the next big trip!

Sounds like me trying to test fit the bumper and winch on there. I had a buddy helping me, he left for the day and I needed to refit the bumper after painting the grill and what not. Let's just say it wasn't fun it was 106f outside my garage. I must have done this a good three times before I was ok with the way it sits. IT HAPPENS glad you found it before leaving for the long haul!

Shiny things!
