Thanks for making it out Saturday - had a great time!

The trail was a little more difficult in a couple spots than the last time I ran it (Sorry about that). But all things considered, I thought the day went real well. Unfortunately I didnt capture too many pictures (and no videos :redbrick... What pictures I have are attached...

Your ATRACK probably never kicked in as it looked like you were braking traction before it kicked in.

The lower the air pressure your tires will allow you to go, the better also.

Looks like you all had a great time, too bad I was throwing back too many fish at the same time!

Wouldn't ATRAC kick in once I was breaking traction????

Well I haven't stopped thinking about this trip. One thing I gotta get off my chest: I owe [MENTION=157695]theoutbackdream[/MENTION] (Matt) a huge apology as well as my fellow 4Runner brethren for not only NOT giving him a yank or two, but also allowing a jeep to do it... I'm truly sorry and its legitimately bothering me. So I owe you a beer/beverage of your choice.

On a brighter note: Pretty sure I officially have the Offroad Bug now. Sucks it came at a time when I don't have as much free time as I used to. But I did order a sweet ass 4x4 trail book. So I'm gonna read thru it and find some cool stuff and hopefully some of you guys will want to tackle some other awesome day trips/over-nighters. It has begun

Anyways, on the brighter side of things, the Jeep guy who yanked me out was happy to use his winch for the first time. And who knows, maybe when I see a jeep next time, they might need a yota to bring spare parts back to them. :bounce:

Getting a little deeper. Don't look right if you hate heights!

Waiting for the others to finish up one of the most difficult parts of the trail, where I needed to get winched out after having my rear tire on the edge of the mountain. fun experience.

Sounds like you got the California Backroads book? That books nice, although I haven't personally bought it myself. haha Let's go! I'm excited for trip #2 with all of you guys, and new comers

That jeep comment is hilarious, I don't care who you are! Literally laughed out loud.

I did get the back roads book, but not the "revised" one that covers the entire state. (That new one doesn't even have signal peak I don't think for example. Lame). There's an older one specially for NORTHERN CA and has to be bought used or outrageously priced new. Might have some aged trails but could be interesting. And as a bonus this book ranks Signal Peak as "difficult" so we all pretty much killed it.

Ah, I'm sure there are a pretty good amount of trails in the copy you got. I'm sure someone on here has the revised version. All I have is the GPX files of some trailheads in CA.
