The thing about the Safari, its going to be a perfect fit and molded to 4th gen fender. I could just buy the eBay LC80 one and use black silicon to fill the gaps between the snorkel and fender. A buddy just installed a eBay LC80 snorkel (paid $80.00) last weekend and ill have to check it out when he gets back from his Death Valley trip.

What we know:
Safari have been test fitting this week.
The part was from production tooling.
Yes, my hair has turned grey waiting for this.
What we don't know:
Were there any fitment issues from this testing?
Were there any performance issues from this testing?
If yes to the above, how long will corrections take?
If no to the above, what steps are there and how long will the remained of their new product process take? (Schedule a production run, ship to the US, ship to distributors, create launch marketing material, etc)
We still need plenty of patience.

I gave up hope and did the LC 80 series snorkel. It's $70 on amazon and mine was free since it was a Christmas present. It's not perfect but I can live with the compromises. Another member on here just installed the 2nd gen Taco ARB snorkel and it came out great so it can be done.

I just got done with mine. I did the LC 80 off of Amazon. Spent a few bucks at Home Depot for a street 45 and used the rubber hose that came with the kit.
The bigger gaps go away when you tighten it down on the fender. I havent confirmed if it is the metal of the fender bending or if the plastic is moving...
either way, it is on the rig...
I think that the body gaps are all reasonable and you could fill them in with silicone. I was going to do mine when it finally stops raining or snowing here...
I didn't really have a choice to wait till they finally decide to release the production model...
Year is almost half over....

i recently talked to TR from ARB who i've known for a while and ran into at the Lone Star Jamboree. he said that they decided to completely redesign the 4th gen variant of the safari snorkel again because after the corrections made on the first ones to remedy the air flow problems the fender section ended up being enormous and apparently those who they asked didnt like it. so it's probably gonna be a while longer.

Flipping ARB, how hard is it to make a f**king snorkel for the 4th gen. You make them for all other generations!

blah blah blah just another excuse in a long line of bullshit excuses. The 5th gen one is huge, the 3rd gen Tacoma one is huge. To think that ARB gives two shits about what it looks like vs just selling is just ignorant. They've had 14 years to do it and my guess is they don't think they'll make enough money to make it worth it.

Oh totally. I wasn't taking it out on you, hahah. I've had the LC80 snorkel for 1 1/2 years because I wasn't going to wait on this to ever happen.
