Safari snorkel on a 5th gen?

Ugh, now I'm wondering if a snorkel might not be such a bad purchase. This forum will be the death of me.

I doubt I'll be fording much, but in the deserts of Oregon (look on GPS, only half of oregon is GREEN) it's usually so dusty that a 2-3 day trip will clog the air filter.

So this WOULD be great. I guess I also wonder how snorkels look on stock front ends. I'm so used to seeing them on the big armored front ends. That said it might look awesome on the Trail/TRD front (Angry Pug Face).

Hmmm...general time frame for the ARB/Safari snorkels, and usually how much do shops charge for the install/body work?

I will be getting one as soon as they are released. The best ETA they have right now is "late 2015." Not sure what a shop would charge, but I will be installing mine on my own. I installed one on my Tacoma and it is not hard. Safari has a really good template to go off of. I could help you install it for free if you want.

Seriously. Yeah I don't think I could pull the trigger one the saw myself. I'll leave that to a pro. But late 2015 is fine. I want one. I really want one.
 
It is a little nerve racking, but the template makes it almost idiot proof. Plus, the snorkel body covers so much area there is quite a bit of room for error if something tragic happened with the hole saw.

No prob. You can inspect mine when I complete it to see if it looks up to par. I am not a professional in any way, but this is not too difficult of a task.
 
I'm not a puss - I'll pull that trigger on the hole saw. F%#$ yeah!

I've never been scared of doing any kind of work to my vehicle due to my simple philosophy: I know that no matter how badly I screw up, there's always someone I can pay to fix my eff up. It may not be cheap, but the risk/reward math always works in my head.

You aren't married huh? While I can pay to fix anything the forever comments cannot be bought off to go away. Sometimes it's easier to have someone else to blame if things can go wrong.
