Safari Snorkel releasing snorkel for 3rd-gen 4Runners

I've confirmed via ARB management that ARB/Safari Snorkel are releasing snorkels for both 3rd and 4th-gen 4Runners at long last.

No release date yet nor do I have pics as of yet. I was emailed and told an Aussie engineer is coming over here in a couple of weeks for test fitments. We hope to be part of that; if we are, I will post photos and info at that time.

It will be nice to have a snorkel designed specifically for the 3rd gen and not have to swap intake tubes around.

Now if i can only plumb the turbo intake to the factory air tube in the fender.....

Hopefully they design the snorkel to fit perfectly along the very long and prominent body crease that goes the entire length of the fender.

I may be in the minority, but I think that the Tacoma "nub" looks better than the "long arm" versions on 3rd Gen 4Runners. In my opinion not only does less tube on the outside of the fender look better, but why have all that tube on the outside when there is plently of room inside the fender for the air tube? I'm just not sure that the tube on the outside looks good on top of that body crease.

While I am a fan of how the taco snorkel looks I couldn't justify the price for a safari snorkel and went with a long arm one off ebay instead. I'm interested to see which path they take, and hopefully consider that the 96-98(i think that was the cut off year) came stock with the longer intake tube same as the taco

For the price of their taco snorkel you can get all pro uca or savage front bumper dude. !!!
