Sam's Build Thread...

Whats Sam? No phone call??????

Haha, kidding, I was busy as s*#t all day.

You know it would have been more fun with BFLAN!!!!!!!! :)

Always is, I am looking forward to running Left Hand Canyon with you tomorrow!

where did you buy this?

I had it custom made, I really loved it and it made accessing my rack a lot easier but with my new rear, it's too high up so I might just sell it.

Is the sleeping platform permanent or removable? If it's removable, is it transportable? Meaning, if we take tiny hiney camping with us, and she sits in the backseat, can we fold down the seats and put the platform in when we get to the campsite?

Guh did I make any sense just now? LOL!

I don't know, $50 bucks + shipping?

How was Left Hand Canyon?

Hey FX,

We ended up not making it up there, BFLAN had a meeting and I am buried in school work. I leave for Moab in a week so I will report back after that trip.

Don't forget lotza pics Sam!:biggrin2:

You know it Pat! I'm so excited, I've been to Moab many times but never with the beast, this will be her first trip to the greatest play ground in the world!

Have a great trip... If you like Mexican food... be sure to go to the Mex restaurant located on the north end of town, next to/right by the old rock shop. Great food.

Thanks, yah, there are a couple of places that I like to hit when I am out there. I don't think I've ever been to that one but will do my best to try it out!

Can you provide any detail on the toolbox? Where did you get it, how much, etc?

Here is a link to the site that I ordered it off of, it fits perfect.

Moab 2011

Well I survived another trip to Moab, this time in my rig. It was amazing as usual and we did some great trails and obstacles. I ran the most challenging trails to date in the beast and she was more than capable of conquering everything that we went up against…. and well. Very impressed.

We hit Gold Bar, Poison Spider, Hell's Revenge, and the Hummer Hill obstacle off of Behind the Rock trail.

Most definitely, I would have had quite a bit of damage to the front and would have come home without my rear if they had been stock. I was pretty hard on both...
