Sam's Tandem build

Got the front axle housing apart and prepped it today. Cut the old Dogbone mount, stabilizer, and sway bar mounts off. Trussed the axle and gusseted it in a few areas. Got it painted and prepped to accept the ARB Air Locker.

I got some mastercraft seats to throw in the old toyota recently. I made some custom brackets and they sit a tad low but fit me really well. I may add some rises and raise them a bit but I'll probably run them as is for a bit.

Waiting for my ARB seal housing to show up so I ended up adding 2inch risers to the seats last night.

Brown santa delivered more goodies. I got my new 10k superwinch. I installed it on the winch plate and made a quick front bumper. Still need to add a hoop and braces. Also mounted my bilstein shocks.

Starting to get into more expedition type gear now. Mounted my aircompressor last night, ran all the wiring for the compressor and locker switch, and tested the solenoids. Still waiting for a couple fittings to finalize the compressor and tidy up the wiring. Probably going to make a new switch plate for the gauge and toggle that will go in the change holder (left open pocket in picture.) The tank itself is a 4gal tank which will be running at 150psi/110psi. Compressor auto kicks on at 110 and shuts off at 150.

Finished up a few more items and got a test run in with Carolina Trailblazers. I got part my sliders made and welded on the truck. Mounted my top light bar that I had for ages. Finished up the compressor and mounted my highlift in the bed. As far as the test run went, I found out I need a new front driveshaft lol. My driveshaft was too short and I lost 4wd on the first trail. So theres that.

Meant to update this. I'll try to fix some of the pictures in the thread since photobucket is run by a bunch of a-holes. Either way I bent up some more tubing, finished up a set of sliders for the pickup. Added a stinger to the front bumper. Also made a set of simple bed side sliders. Also designed a bedrack on CAD I was thinking about building. Heres some pics.

Well ended up building my bedrack and finishing my soft bed cover to keep things dry in case it rains. Also added rock lights and lights in the bed incase I need to look for things at night. Both are on separate switches on the dash.

Lil update. The old pickup got new tires and wheels over the weekend. Got some trail ready beadlocks and 37in tires. Also lifted it a lil to level it out in the rear.

Its been awhile since I've update this, but I have since gone to using 17in trail ready beadlocks and 37bfgs. I recently went on a wheeling trip with a friend and managed to break the studs on my passenger side knuckle and completely destroy a trunion bearing. Anyways shes all fixed now.

Well I haven't been on here much recently. Started a new job semi recently and most of my free time has been taken up. Anyways I've still been working on my pickup truck. A few months ago I finally got around to installing my dual transfer cases in the truck. Also recently installed newer Tacoma Brakes on the front of the truck. Started building a new rear axle with a ruffstuff truss and will be a full float. Anyways here are some pics of the goodies. No particular order really.
