I go to the national sea shore down by Corpus quite a bit (Big Shell).
I mostly do my own work and mods so can't really help you there.
 
Few spots here and there, but most are water ways and/ or drainage, and I've been told they're illegal to drive in. That is of course if you're caught.
 
I've never been to big shell but have always wanted to go. I hear plenty of good times are to be had down there.
 
I think everyone should try "Big Shell" at least once. Just be warned that it is 60 miles down a torn up beach in 4 wheel drive and there is nothing at the end but a rock jetty. Go prepared.

Are you talking about Culebra creek from behind Ingram mall to either Bandera Rd and/or to 1604? Me and some others used to do it back in the mid 90's with full size pickups and K5 Blazers. There were always lots of rocks and the occasional abandoned stolen car.
I kinda think all the growth and new houses in the area put a damper on things but I am sure someone may still be out there on what's left of the trails.

I live on the north side! 1604 and braun and I drive a black and gold 3rd gen. not to be mistaken for ginger.4runner who has a black on black 3rd gen. I know of a couple good trailing areas and i'm down to trail ride pretty much whenever.

I'm not far from ya man, I'm in Leon Valley, let me know when you go on your next trail run, I'll tag along with ya. 3rd gen 4x4
 
Used to live at Braun and Tezel. Now 410 and 281 area.

Down for a meet-up and some trailing.

I know it will be super cold but Alamo City Landcruisers is having a wrench day this Saturday. All Toyotas 4x4s are welcome.

Event Notification Thread

We are working on a couple of FJCRUISER lifts in my garage. We should have a couple of space heaters going.
 
Heading to HF on Sat if anyone is interested. I know of about 5 SA guys going 5 austin guys going and 2 from Ft. Hood.
 
Im in SA area near sea world (where everybody else in the military lives!). I just got my 94 and still doing small things here and there to it, but would love to meet more people who know their way around these things.
 
I used to drive the Leon Creek way in the late 90's, now i think its been developed and no way to get around down there without running into joggers...... wish there was more near by!
 
I recently moved here from Lubbock. Haven't had time for trails...but I'm alwsys looking for something fun for a weekend get away with the fam...
