San Antonio 4runners?

Hello All, I am new to this whole forum but I wanted to see if there were a few people on here that still kept up with each other and got together. I have been waiting for my 4R for almost a year on and off not sure what I wanted to do but I finally got lucky and there is a built 17 cement on its month long journey from Japan. Should be here by the end of the month.

Nice! Congrats! We have a few guys that keep in touch through Facebook (Texas Overland Group, Texas 4Runners Group, and such), Instagram, and direct messages. I think some of us will be trying to do a meet in early fall through Texas Overland.

Another San Antonian here. I won't be hitting any trails though as my 4Runner is in need of a fixing.. plus its a 2wd. Currently unemployed, in search of a job. Wondering if anyone would be able to help me with my U joints? Of course i'll be buying the parts, but if you got any specialized tools to make the job easier, I'd gladly appreciate it.

Finally got my C4 Fab bumper and warn winch installed!!! I'll have my Demello Rock Crushers on in the next couple weeks and the Gobi stealth in about month. This will make week 8 or 9 waiting, but the customer service is out of this world. Got my stuff installed at Ameraguard, amazing staff and owner. Ask for John or Mark to help you!!

I knew it ! It's a 05 v8 with an exhaust, you can hear it pretty well, she's a little loud. That will change soon, gonna put on a magnaflow exhaust

Are there any meet ups coming soon? It seems like its super hard to meet any local 4Runner groups if there are even any.

I have been looking, facebook has a few San Antonio area off-road groups, I did see the CenTex group that has a sweet looking Toyota jamboree near Houston but they had it back in May. My 4R should come in Saturday so after that I will be in to meet up anywhere

Up front I have FJ trail team coils and shocks and a daystar 2.5 inch spacer.
In the rear i have metal tech long travel HD coils
Tires are 305/70/17 Toyo Open Country extreme AT2, i have g2 1.5 inch wheel spacers to clear the ucas

I believe these go for around $280 new
Not looking to get that, just maybe trade for some 2 inch lift coils (ome,toytec,etc...)

Hey guys,

I'm in need of some help. I have a 98 limited 4x4. I keep getting a lot of wheel shake when I'm driving between 50 and 70 miles an hour. I'm changes the inner and outer tie rods, lbj, steering rack bushings, cv's, and brake pads, and rotors. I have also gotten the tires rotated and balanced multiple times to no avail the issue is still present. I'm was wondering if anyone locally would be willing to help me identify the issue. I'm willing to pay and provide beer. If not can you recommend any good shops that won't try to scam me?

What side of town are you on? Brake check will do a free diagnostic, although i'm not sure i would trust them to do the work.. there are several off road shops in town too that are reputable.
