As I mentioned in the other thread there is more here than a simple work disturbance or crazy internet nutjob.
It has many similarities to the Paris attack. He was described by coworkers as a nice guy who was deeply devout in his religious beliefs.

Actually I disagree. I believe mass murder and terrorism are separate things. One of the earliest mass shootings was University of Texas 1966 from the clock tower, charged with murder. Then much later we had the Oklahoma City bombing. Mcvay was charged and executed for murder.
Terrorism should only be charged when the actors are motivated by a political out religious ideology, especially if tied to foreign influence. After 9/11 the definition was muddled when the government basically stated to charge everyone with terrorism.

Sunni's think that they are the TRUE believers (and TRUE descendants of Mohammed). Shi'a came from the in-laws of Mohammed and are considered by the Sunni's to be infidels...and no better than Westerners.
(BTW, ISIS are Sunni, Wahabi sect.)
So, until Mohammed himself descend from high above and condemn these attacks, good luck convincing these attackers otherwise...even if you're a Muslim who believe in peace.

Mass killings are terrorism, just not tied to a specific religious belief which seems to be the opinion of many for defining the act. It's really a matter of semantics but to all directly involved it was terror.

Anyone who intentionally shoots innocent people or at a law enforcement officer deserves the bullets they get in return. A whole case of ammo is cheaper punishment and swifter justice than any courtroom full of law twisting blood-sucking lawyers.
